About

I can only assume that you clicked this link because you wanted to learn more about me and this blog. I’ll do my best to satisfy your craving for knowledge.

My name is Laura Ashlee and I am a book addict. I confess that I feel a constant tug toward bookstores and libraries. Just being in the same room with a lot of books is exciting to me. That’s why I want a personal library one day, and I’m working on my collection now. I also want to work in a library (preferably a youth library), so I’m planning to start grad school for my MLIS in the fall.

I started blogging on August 19th 2010. I’ve made about a million changes since then. Switched to WordPress was definitely the biggest one, but I’m very happy with that decision. I chose the name Owl Tell You About It because I thought it was a clever pun and because I love owls.

I first fell in love with reading when I was in high school. I read The Lord of the Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia, Awake and Dreaming, and The Perks of Being a Wallflower. I stepped away from books a bit when I started college because I was a little to busy to read. I got back into it my final year when I read Wuthering Heights and Pride and Prejudice for the first time. Somehow, I ended up in the young adult section at the book store and things just when crazy from there.

In the off chance that you care, here are some of my favorite books: Jane Eyre, The Time Traveler’s Wife, The Gargoyle, An Abundance of Katherines, The Book Thief, Wuthering Heights, Emma, Pride and Prejudice, and about a million more.
