Best I’ve Read So Far: We’re half way through the year (crazy how time flies!), which top 3 books are the best you’ve read so far this year?

That’s hard! I have narrowed it down though.

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

The Probability of Miracles by Wendy Wunder

and just to change things up Bared to You by Sylvia Day

Do you have a keeper shelf for books you loved? What books are on that shelf and why?

I don’t have a certain shelf that holds my keepers, but I do keep a lot of my books. I usually try not to buy books I think I might not keep, but sometimes I can’t help it. I’ve kept a lot of books so I’m not sure which ones to mention. My most recent keeper (by keeper I mean a book I bought that I hadn’t already read and loved) was Hark! a Vagrant.

I try not to buy books I’m not likely to keep either :)
I’ve got to read The Fault in Our Stars, it’s just one of those books that everyone recommends, but I’m kind of scared to start and not love. Especially as it’s meant to be a tearjerker. I don’t mind a good cry now and then, but usually the I don’t know it’s going to be emotionally intense before I start, and I think that’s what has me worried about starting TFoS.

I didn’t cry as much as I expected, but it the best book I’ve read all year. I definitely recommend reading it, but don’t worry too much about the sad. There’s plenty of funny too!

I am trying to only buy art books or cookbooks. I have alot of fiction novels that I am trying to give away because I don’t usually re-read them unless it was written by Twain, Trolloppe or Delderfield.
