Do you hide your book purchases from your significant other/parents/children/pet/old lady down the street? Share some good smuggling stories!
Oh, God. This is so me! I’ve gotten better, but I used to be the worst about smuggling books into my house. I spent so much money on books and my mother and boyfriend gave me so much crap for it so I started sneaking them home. Sometimes I carpool to work with my mother. I’d occasionally go to the book store at lunch and I’d bring the book back up to my desk and leave it there until the next day that I drove myself so my mother wouldn’t know I spent more money on books. And I pretty much never tell my boyfriend when I buy books because he’s so frugal. He would give me lectures.
I just want to stress that I don’t do this anymore. I’ve put myself on a kind of book-buying ban. The only books I’ve bought in a couple of months have been textbooks and a couple of books I bought with a gift card I got for Christmas. That is a HUGE deal for me. I’ve learned to remind myself that I can always check something out from the library and I’ve made a list on Goodreads for books I hope to buy some day. That way I don’t forget to buy them one day when I’m rolling in money. Cause, you know, librarians are super rich and stuff.
Do you have any book smuggling stories?

Yay for using the library
But don’t feel too bad about buying books! You work hard for your money, and books are good treat!

lol I’ve put myself on a bit of a book buying ban. I just have too many already and no time to read them all anyway.
Good for you! The first step is to admit you have a problem hehe
