Welcome!

Hi and welcome to my blog! I'm Laura Ashlee and this is where I tell you what I think about books and bookish things. I occassionally throw in some personal updates as well. I hope you'll take a moment to subscribe for updates by choosing one of the options in the "Subscribe" drop down in the navigation.

I am accepting review requests! Please read the review policy.

Recent Reviews

“Every book has a soul, the soul of the person who wrote it and the soul of those who read it and dream about it.”
--Carlos Ruiz Zafón

“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.”
--Theodor Seuss Geisel

Sunday was spent napping, getting some major bloggiesta work done, watching The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (American version), and making lunch for this week. I did get my review format caught up back to November. That doesn’t sound like much, but I reviewed a lot of books between November and now. Hopefully, I can make myself work on reformatting a few every night, it shouldn’t take me too long to get them done. I’m crossing my fingers. The bloggiesta definitely got me in blog working mode.

I also started my new diet that will hopefully keep me from getting awful heartburn ever again. I haven’t had caffeine since Thursday and the pasta I made for lunch was amazing! I took a day off on Thursday and strayed a little too much from my diet. It made me sick again on Friday. I’ll be sure not to do that again!

DSC05260Tuesday was monumental because I purchased web-hosting. It was way easier than I thought it would be. I got my hosting, got my domain transferred to my host, installed WordPress, uploaded my blog content, chose a theme, and got things looking pretty similar to my previous theme. It was some work, but it’s so nice to have some freedom. There are so many options! I love it! That was definitely the most monumental thing that happened this week. Oh, and I had another present from Penguin Audio when I got home that night: two more audiobooks to add to the pile. I’m running out of room!
